What’s whoosme?

Whoosme is a web platform that allows you to obtain a rating about your professional skills by collecting on line questionnaires filled out by your colleagues and clients.

How does whoosme work?

By registering on whoosme, you can invite friends and relatives to fill out a questionnaire anonymously. These anonymous questionnaires about you will form your professional rating.

What if I dislike my professional rating?

By default, the professional rating is always hidden and visible to your eyes only. You can decide at any time to publish it on your whoosme page or to keep it private for as long as you like. Besides, you may decide to remove one or more persons from your evaluators’ list. In such a case, your professional rating will be updated according to the anonymity rules and the name of the evaluators so removed will be published for 30 days on your whoosme page.

Can I can evaluate users?

Yes, you can. You may receive evaluation requests from other users or you may directly fill out an Anonymous Evaluation Questionnaire about your friends and colleagues’ skills and send them an evaluation proposal (which they can accept or refuse). Your professional rating is made only with the evaluations made by those who have been invited or accepted by you. Every time you receive an evaluation request (an invitation to fill out an Anonymous Evaluation Questionnaire about another user), you can evaluate the sender and help in shaping his/her professional rating.

How can I be sure of the confidentiality of the opinions that I have expressed in the questionnaire?

Whoosme uses the most advanced encryption systems and the most advanced anti-intrusion measures to protect the data and informational systems through the decoupling of data and user identities, the implementation of the latest firewall technology and protected modalities of data transmission. Whoosme also adopts a set of logical rules of operation (the rules of anonymity) that prevent, even by deductive reasoning (for example, by monitoring the changes in the indices of the professional rating), the content of an individual Anonymous Evaluation Questionnaire from being disclosed.

What are the rules of anonymity?

They are logical rules of operation adopted by whoosme to prevent a user from becoming aware of the content of any individual questionnaire concerning him or her, including by deductive reasoning (for example by checking the changes to the indices of his/her professional rating).
Whoosme adopts the following rules:

  1. the professional rating is only created for the first time once a user has received at least five evaluations by five AEQs being completed;
  2. if a number of evaluators drops below the minimum threshold of five, the professional rating is suspended (not even visible to the user him/herself) until the minimum of five evaluators is achieved again (and the same number of AEQs);
  3. updates to the professional rating only take place at preset periods of 3 and 4 days by implementing new AEQs and changes to previously compiled AEQs;
  4. if a user removes an evaluator from his/her list of evaluators, his/her professional rating is updated only after at least 7 days and the removed evaluator is visible on the user's whoosme page for thirty days.
  5. In order to prevent abusive practices, whoosme adopts other measures and rules of anonymity that automatically provide for the continuous data monitoring and check.

    Can I modify a questionnaire?

    At any time, the evaluators may access the questionnaires that they have completed and make changes to them. Therefore, the users’ professional ratings are constantly changing.

    Can I edit my professional rating?

    Under no circumstances, can you edit your own professional rating. Only the evaluators whom you have invited can edit the Anonymous Evaluation Questionnaire about you, thereby modifying your profile.

    What's a team?

    By joining a team users may create a page with the team’s rating made of the merge of the professional rating of the team’s members. Besides, team’s members have access to a virtual notice-board where they can post threads and share thoughts anonymously (by using a renewable nickname).
